At least five kilometres of withholding at the AP-8 in Zaldibar, meaning Bilbao, due to an accident
Early this Thursday, there was an accident on the AP-8 motorway, at kilometre 80 and in the municipality of Zaldibar, which caused major traffic problems in the Bilbao sense, with one of the lanes cut, causing at least five kilometres of withholding.
Traffic jams have mainly affected the section between Zaldibar and access to Ermua. Traffic is very slow and there are occasional stops. The area is marked red on the traffic maps and indicates that the flow of vehicles is very low.
Emergency services are working at the scene of the accident and extreme caution is recommended. For up-to-date information on the state of the roads, the 011 traffic phone remains available to drivers.
