Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council will apply an 8-hour new OTA rate from today
The new ticket will apply to Area 2 and will allow parking for eight euros from 10:00 to 20:00, with the usual break, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (OTA free space).
From this Friday, the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz will introducethe new regulated parking fee (OTA) , which allows parking for eight hours in a row for eight euros.
It will allow parking from 10:00 to 20:00, with the usual stop, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (OTA free space).
The new ticket will apply to Zone 2, which includes San Martín, Adurtza, San Cristobal, Desprotección, Judimendi, Saint Lucia, Arana, Santiago, Aranbizkarra and Arantzabela. Outside this area, in Area 1, centre of the Avenida de Vitoria, Ferrocarrils and Este de Los Herrán, the regulation will continue without a rate of eight hours.
Beatriz Artolazabal, Deputy Mayor and Councilwoman for Public Space and Neighborhoods of the City Council, explains that this option of parking eight hours in a row responds to the needs of many people who, for work or other reasons, have to drive to the city and park for a long time.
With this fee, for example, a user will be able to park his vehicle from 20:00 on Monday and remove it at 10:00 on Wednesday for eight euros.
"Many people told us that they needed to leave the car alone all morning and all afternoon. That's why we created the OTA eight-hour ticket. With this measure already in place, we think of those who spend many hours away from home for work, shopping or other activities, and it's about making life a little easier for them. We give more space and more peace of mind," said the councilman.
