Due tothe measures to prevent the Nodular Contagious Dermatosis (DNK) ezin , the local councils have had to adapt the programme of fairs and festivities throughout the Basque Country. Abadiño is one of them. Tomorrow they will celebrate the dayof San Blas, and following the order of the Basque Government,therewill be no cattle.

- Withregard to animal movements , in addition to the obligation to clean and disinfect animal transport vehicles, maintains the obligationto deinsecrate such vehicles and animals entering the movement, except where the destination is directly the slaughterhouse, for which, in addition to the certificate of cleaning and disinfection issued by an authorized centre, the responsible declaration of deinsectation of the means of transport and animals must be recorded.
- cows and other sensitive species from farms outside the CSC will besubject to official veterinary surveillance for 28 daysfrom their entry into the farm , which may be adjusted according to the risk assessment, during which time animals must be kept uninsecrated.
- In addition, the farms where the animals referred to are introduced shall remaincautiously immobilized within the period determined by the veterinary services, and the measure shall affect all animals on the farm on the date of entry.
- Upto 95%vaccination coverage on farms in Gipuzkoa , cow movements within the CAPV will be carried out in accordance with a coordinated protocol between the Basque Government and the three deputies.
