A man has been arrested in Vitoria-Gasteiz while his children were driving in his car for driving at 130 km/h and giving positive cocaine
The 37-year-old man escaped from a gas station, driving a few kilometres recklessly, without a driver's license, until he lost control of the vehicle and hit several parked cars and then tried to flee the agents by taking refuge in a portal.
Police officers arrested a 37-year-old man onMonday afternoon when his wife and three underage children were driving in his car without permission and at a speed of 130 km/h and positive on cocaine.
The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m., when a police patrol saw a vehicle leaving a gas station on Star Sale Street without respecting pedestrian priority.
When they crossed paths with him, the agents saw that thedriverwas walking without a seat belt, so they changed direction to stop.
Upon noticing this manoeuvre, the driver suddenly accelerated and entered the opposite lane, forcibly advancing some vehicles.
Then the cops chased him with lights and acoustic signals, ordering him to stop, but he ignored him and accelerated him even further, reaching 130 km/h and putting the lives of the people who accompanied him at significant risk. Finally, he lost control on a street in Salburua and hit two parked vehicles.
After the accident, the driver went down and ran outto take refuge in a portal near . The man has remained in his position, has had to be reduced and, with the help of another patrol, has been arrested.
When they were about to come down, the couple came by surprise and tried to stop him from being arrested. While they tried to calm him down, he threw himself at the agents.
In the light of these facts, and having to deal with minors, the woman has been informed that\u00A0 was investigated on charges of serious disobedience and assault on law enforcement officials.
The man was taken to the hospital and tested for alcohol and drugs. He's positive on cocaine.
