The race for the Euskera will reach its destination on Sunday at noon in Bilbao
Emotions, parties, emotions... those who have lived for 10 days in the corners, towns and cities of the Basque Country will reach their peak tomorrow, Sunday. 24. The Korrika will reach its destination: Bilbao. Since its departure from Atharratze on 19 March, thousands of Euskaltzales have taken part in therace for the Euskera.
The Korrika will start its last day from the Duranguesado, and about 07:20 will enter the capital city by Enekuri. The leaders of the Korrika are waiting for the arrival at 12:30 in the Ernesto Erkoreka Square in Bilbao (City Hall). As usual, the members of the AEK will travel the last kilometre, the 2,750.
Once the message has beenspread, the party will burst in Bilbao, and it seems that the Euskaltzales will have the weather in favor (ago). In fact, the weather service of EITB foresees a wet and cold morning, but from noon the weather will improve. It will be nice, but it is not ruled out that occasionally there will be some isolated rain.
The capital city is expected to be crowded, so AEK officials recommend the use of public transport . Metro Bilbao and Euskotren, for example, will offer special services .
AEK has prepared a varied program for the closing day, which has been divided into six spaces: concerts, activities for children, lunch area, etc. Of all, for everyone, there is some surprise.
