Five people have been arrested in Bizkaia on charges of delivering nearly 300 kilos of speed
The arrests have been carried out in several municipalities in the territory and four homes have been searched in Bilbao and Galdakao, one of the largest quantities of this substance detected in the Spanish State.
The National Police has arrested five people in different locations in Bizkaia who were allegedly preparing to deliver a shipment of nearly 300 kilograms of high-quality amphetamine sulfate (speed), one of the largest quantities of this substance seized in the Spanish State.
The operation, led by the Special Anti-Drug Prosecutor's Office, took place last month, when investigators in Mungia (Bizkaia) seized a shipment of 287 kilograms of speed that they intended to deliver to third parties.
In this intervention, with the support of the Special Operations Group (GEO), three persons were arrested, the Ministry of the Interior reported on Wednesday.
The judicial authority,in Bilbaoand Galdakao, was subsequently required to authorize the entry and registration of four buildings. Another 6.5 kilograms of amphetamine sulfate, 300 grams of cocaine and 700 grams of hashish were found ready for sale, as well as several euros and American dollars.
The following day, two other persons related to drug transport were located and arrested, who managed to avoid the police activity of the previous day.
For thetime being, three real estate and five movable property of those investigated have been blocked, as well as all bank accounts.
