Subijana will renew today as President of the High Court of the Basque Country
This week, at the Palacio de Justicia in Bilbao, there will be two very important acts of inauguration. Today, Iñaki Subijana will return to the presidency. On Thursday, the 16th, Judge Juan Carlos Benito-Butrón will assume the presidency of the Social Chamber.
Today's event will begin at 1 p.m. at the Palacio de Justicia in Bilbao, where Iñaki Subijana himself will speak and take over the presidency.
Iñaki Subijana will continue for another five years as President of the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country, for which he was first appointed on 29 April 2021.
On 27 May, the plenary of the General Council of the Judiciary decided to support Iñaki Subijana's candidacy for re-election as President of the High Court.
Previously, in Gipuzkoa
Before taking office today, Subijana served as President of the Provincial High Court of Gipuzkoa from 2010 to 2021, her first destination being Azpeitia Court of First Instance and Investigation No. 1, where she served from 1990 to 1992.
Subsequently, after serving in the Provincial Court of Cadiz, he returned to San Sebastián in 1995, where he served in two courts in the capital of Guipuzcoana: Court of First Instance No. 5 and Criminal Court No. 2. In 2002he arrived at the Provincial Court of Gipuzkoa, where he also presided over the First Section before presiding over the entire court.
Earlier this week, the inauguration of Judge Juan Carlos Benito-Butrón, the new President of the Social Division of the High Court, will also take place at the Palacio de Justicia in Bilbao on Thursday 16 at 1 p.m. In addition to Benito-Butrón, Iñaki Subijana will take the floor.
