Consumer withdraws seven models of sunglasses to view the solar eclipse, which could cause eye injuries

Consumer Authorities in several Autonomous Communities have ordered the withdrawal and recovery from the market of seven models of sunglasses for solar eclipse due to the risk of eye injuries.
These are glasses from the brands Lionstar, ECP Eye Care Professional, Pelispan, Homanaje, Orro and Opticalia, to which Mó (Multiopticas) was added this Wednesday, according to the National Consumer Alert Network.
In the risk description, it is explained that when placing the glasses, the user sees only the darkness and the foreseeable reaction is to remove the eyeglasses for a moment to dress better. During this unprotected period, the eyes are exposed to direct solar radiation, and a chemical or thermal injury may occur in the cells of the retina.
