EH Bildu would win the general election in the Basque Country, tied to the PNV
Both parties, EH Bildu and PNV, would improve their results if a general election were held, as can be seen from the new EITB Focus section, where both parties would have one more deputy in Congress.
EH Bildu would win the general election in the Basque Country today,equating the number of Members with the PNV. Both parties would win one more seat in the Congress of Deputies, with six representatives.
Thus, EH Bildu would get 27.1% of the vote in the Basque Autonomous Community, three points higher than in the general elections held in 2023 (24.0%).
The PNV would also improve its results if general elections were called,with 24.3% of the votes (24.1% in 2023) and bringing six deputies to the lower house, one more than at present.
According to EITB Focus, the Socialists would get 22.3% of the vote (25.4% in 2023) and lose one seat, which would be reduced from the current 5 to 4.
The People's Party would retain its current representation (they have two seats in the Basque Country), but the percentage of votes would be reduced by one and a half points, from 11.6% to 10.1% of the votes.
According to EITB Focus, Sumarwould get a bad result Euskadi and lose the only seat he had in Madrid.
Vox would not get representatives in the Basque Autonomous Community, but it would almost double the percentage of votes obtained: in 2023, Santiago Abascal's party won 2.7% of the votes and would now get 4.9% of the votes in the Basque Country. This upward trend is seen in the three territories, with almost 5% support in Gipuzkoa and more than 7% in Álava.
