Denis Itxaso,Housing and Urban Agenda Advisor of the Basque Government , has announced the launch of a public rental program thatprotects the ownersof the high voltage areas  from non-payment of rent and damage.

Itxaso explained at an event on housing organized by the PSE-EEin San Sebastian that this program will also lead to lower prices.

"The goal is to provide certainty to homeowners who take housing out of high-voltage areas into the free rental market in exchange for more reasonable prices," the PSE-EE Housing Secretary explained.

For her part, Ane Oyarbide, the Socialist spokeswoman at San Sebastián City Council, has not hesitated to criticize themanagement of the PNV housing and has highlighted the "lack of commitment" of jeltzale training.
