The Administrative Court of Vitoria-Gasteiz has ruled that the protests organized by the youth organization two years ago in Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao were perfectly legitimate, even if they were illegal. According to the youth organization Galder Barbado and Aitor Zelaia, the fines imposed by the Ertzaintza on members of Ernai for protests against the imprisonment of young people in 2023 were cancelled and reduced. "This sentence is historic, not only because we have radically dismantled an operation aimed at abolishing Ernai, but because we have exposed the undemocratic, arbitrary and totally disproportionate attitude of the Basque Government and the Ertzaintza," said Egurrola.
