The Sabino Arana Foundation held a special event today at its headquarters in Bilbao to pay tribute to the PNV militants deported by Nazism. The event was attended by relatives of the victims and jeltzal representatives, including EBB President Aitor Esteban.
During the event, a plaque was placed reminiscent of the members of the PNV who were in the hands of the Nazis. "Basque nationalists and party members suffered the horror of the Nazis; and no one will rewrite the past," said Esteban.
In the words of the jeltzale leader, "he is an admirable generation" because "for nothing, he gave everything, and at the same time he was an example."
