He entered the fiscal career in 1990 and, after serving in various prosecutor's offices (Tenerife, Valladolid and Barcelona), was transferred to the Provincial Prosecutor's Office in Madrid, where in 2005 he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor for the Violence against Women Section of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office.
He was also a member of the Group of Experts at the State Observatory on Violence against Women to produce the first of the reports published annually by the State Observatory on Violence against Women (2007).
He has also served as Prosecutor of the Chamber against Violence against Women since 2021 and Prosecutor of the Delegated Chamber for the Care and Protection of Victims in Criminal Proceedings.
In January 2025, he was appointed Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court (Criminal Section).
Committed to the protection of victims of gender-based violence, he has participated as a lecturer in numerous training courses, both at the State and international levels, and has published numerous articles of legal content , especially those relating to gender-based violence and equality, and has received numerous awards and recognition for his struggle and contribution in these areas.
