Hundreds of people have denounced the "imperialist attack" on Venezuela in the capitals of Hego Euskal Herria

Hundreds of people have gathered this Sunday inthe four southern capitals to condemn the US attack on Venezuela and demand the release of President Nicolas Maduro  and his wife, Cilia Flores.

In the communiqués read in Basque and Spanish during the four protests against "imperialism" in the United States, the summoners have strongly denounced the military attack on Maduro as "extremely serious" and "illegal kidnapping".

The Hegoak platform has proclaimed "the sovereignty of all the peoples and individuals of the world as an indispensable principle". "No one can make a decision about the people of Venezuela. That belongs only to the people of Venezuela and to no one else. "

The consul in Bilbao has called on Venezuelans to act against the "imperialist attack" perpetrated by the "murderer" Trump.

In Bilbao, hundreds of people have gathered in front of the Venezuelan consulate, accompanied by Consul Glenna del Valle Cabello , sister of the Venezuelan Minister of the Interior, Diosdado Cabello, who has urged the population to "activate" the consultation against the "imperialist" aggression.

In the same act, EH Bildu's Head of International Policy and Relations, Igor Zulaika, has denounced the US Government's "imperialist plan"  and warned that the US wants to "destroy international law."

Trump has recalled that he has said that he is prepared to "intervene for the extreme right in the European elections," and has therefore considered it necessary to "protect peace, democracy, and the right to self-determination."

Also in San Sebastian  hundreds of people have gathered in the gardens of Alderdi Eder, opposite the town hall of San Sebastian.

Along with the banner of the call, Venezuelan flags and flags of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela have also been displayed.

Thesame note has been read at the Vitoria-Gasteiz rally, where some 300 people have gathered in the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca .

They have also concentrated in Pamplona at 12.30 p.m. to condemn the US "imperialist aggression" in Venezuela and the "illegal kidnapping" of Nicolas Maduro, and to demand "respect" for the country's sovereignty.

The event was attended by, among others, thespokeswoman for EH Bildu in the Navarre Parliament, Laura Aznal; thecoordinator of IUN and spokesperson for Contigo-Zurekin , Carlos Guzmán; the councillor of this coalition in Pamplona, Txema Mauleón; and the coordinator of Podemos in Navarra, Neniques Roldán; and the trade unions Lorenzo Ríos, Josema Romeo.

With the same manifesto read in other capitals, since Trump took office, they have denounced that he is "imposing a neo-colonial strategy against the peoples of the world, based on interventions, threats, blackmail and military attacks, especially in Palestine, Latin America and the Caribbean."

They express their solidarity with the Venezuelan people and call for "respect for their self-determination, institutions, sovereignty and territorial integrity" and call on the international community to "denounce these attacks and take decisive action".
