Judge sends Iñigo Errejón to trial for alleged sexual assault on Elisa Mouliya
The judge has summoned him for 15 January, while the prosecution will not indict Errejón and has requested that the case be closed for lack of evidence.
The judge has ordered the opening of oral proceedings against Íñigo Errejón, a former spokesman for the Supreme Court for alleged sexual assault on actress Elisa Mouliaa in October 2021, and has summoned her to notify her of this decision on 15 January.
Judge , Adolfo Carretero,has sent the former spokesman to the trial , contraryto the prosecutor's view, since last December the Public Prosecutor's Office stated that will not apply for a conviction for Errejón because "the commission of the crime has not been properly justified" and it has not been established whether Errejón was clear that the "sexual relationship" was contrary to the actor's wishes.
Meanwhile, Elisa Mouliya has requested three years' imprisonment for continuing sexual abuse offences, as well as compensation of 30,000 euros.
Errejón left all political positions on October 24, 2024, after anonymous messages against him related to male violence were posted on the networks. On the same day, Mouilaa published that he had been a "victim of sexual harassment" and filed a complaint with the police against the former politician.
