In the opinion of EH Bildu, it is "worrying" that as a result of the onslaught against the Euskera, various institutions have withdrawn the linguistic profiles of their last public job offers. EH Bildu MP Josu Aztiria has expressed the view that this reduction in places with accredited language profiles is "probably due to the impact of the offensive" against the Euskera and has described it as a "worrying trend".
"On the one hand, because it is a delay in the progress made so far, because jobs with a linguistic profile are delayed; on the other hand, because the enormous effort made over the years is not followed up; and, finally, because the administration is de facto regressed in the standardisation of the Basque language and in the guarantee of linguistic rights," he added.
These OPEs have been published prior to the amendment of the Public Employment Act, the aim of which is to give greater legal certainty to the language profiles of the various administrations, since certain court rulings have suspended the requirements of the Basque Country in certain jobs.
