The Supreme Court rejected the PP's urgent request to force ministers to appear in the Senate in August because of the Ceuta crisis
Nuñez Feijóo has asked the government to allow Felipe VI to visit the autonomous city because, in his opinion, the king wants to go to Ceuta because he is entitled to do so.
The Supreme Court has rejected the precautionary measure requested by the PP fromthe Government to instruct the government, within 24 hours , to take the necessary organizational decisions for ministers to appear in the Senate in August in connection with the migration crisis in Ceuta.
This was requested by several PP senators who had not attended the committees convened this month by the Ministers of the Interior, Defence and Foreign Affairs, and whose attendance was guaranteed before the end of the current inactive period, which expires on 31 August.
However, the Holiday Chamber of the Supreme Court has issued an order rejecting the request because it is not sufficiently justified that parliamentary control should necessarily take place during the extraordinary period of August.
"All the more so," he goes on, "if we bear in mind that the resolution of the interim measure by ordinary procedure will not be too late."
On the other hand, the PSOE announced on Thursday that seven ministers will appear in Congress next week to report on their party's actions in managing the Ceuta crisis.
The Minister of Defence , Margarita Robles, is scheduled to attend Congress on Tuesday 25; the Minister of Relations with the Presidency, Justice and Services,Felix Bolaños, and theMinister of Health, Monica Garcia, on Thursday 27; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and theMinister of Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz.

With regard tothe migration crisis, the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has asked the Government of Pedro Sánchez to authorize the King's visit to Ceuta. Feijóo believes that Felipe VI wants to go to Ceuta .
The PP leader has also appreciated the "gesture" of Felipe VI, who received thePresident of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, at the Marivent Palace (Palma) in early August.
