Antxustegi says the agreement on the new political status must be "tripartite" with PSE-EE and EH Bildu
Joseba Díez Antxustegi (PNV) has assessed the meeting with lehendakari Imanol Pradales at the end of Pradales' round of contacts with parliamentary groups.
The PNV's parliamentary spokesman, Joseba Díez Antxustegi, has stated that the agreement on the new political status must necessarily be between the three parties, PNV, EH Bildu and PSE-EE. "If it is not, it will not be."
Díez Antxustegi made an assessment of his meeting with lehendakari Imanol Pradales on Wednesday, which closed the round of contacts that Pradales has held with parliamentary groups.
The spokesman jeltzale has called on the PSE-EE and EH Bildu to comply with "what has been agreed" so that the negotiations are "discreet" and what is discussed at the negotiating table "stays at the table".
In his view, it is not good for the spokesmen of these political parties to publicly lay down conditions or red lines for the negotiation to take place. He therefore urged "to make an effort, to be loyal" and, above all, "to comply with that condition of discretion that we have agreed upon."
Díez Antxustegi has also called for procedures to be speeded up to reduce bureaucracy and improve "trust" between institutions and citizens. He explained that the Basque Government is working on a public sector bill to "bring the administration closer to the citizens".
