The two leaders have held a videoconference meeting with US negotiator Steve Witkoff, after which they have held talks with several European leaders to "coordinate" towards the end of the war and to link "long-term security guarantees."

The programme will be developed in France alone and will begin with 3,000 participants.

The reform adopted in 2023 was controversial from the outset and has been the main cause of the political crisis in the country. The Socialist Party made it a condition that the reform be repealed so as not to let the government of Sebastien Lecornu fall.

Marine Le Pen's extreme right has supported the motion tabled by the left-wing LFI, but has nevertheless won 271 votes, below the 289 needed to advance, while the motion tabled by the National Association of Le Pen has won 144 votes.

In his speech as Prime Minister in the National Assembly, he warned that France is "in danger" of a "budget collapse," which only "benefits the country's enemies." 

The aim of this event will be "to resume humanitarian operations and then begin reconstruction," Macron himself said.

More than 30 international leaders will meet this Monday, including Donald Trump, Pedro Sanchez, and Emmanuel Macron, while Israel will not participate in the meeting.

In an interview this Wednesday on France 2, acting French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said his "mission is over."

The French president has explained that the new prime minister will have until Wednesday to negotiate "an action platform."

This initiative by the Socialist Party has received a contrary response from the Conservative Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, on the grounds that it is' an act contrary to neutrality 'and has therefore put in place a directive calling for justice to act against these municipalities.
