Around a thousand people in León have protested against the management carried out so far and have called for resignations, as well as the declaration of level 3 emergency, so that the management would be transferred from the Junta de Castilla y León to the Spanish Government.

LEA workers expect to meet with the company later this week to learn more about its future. The LEA management is meeting today with a labor lawyer and the labor inspectorate.

The Provincial Council of Álava is also working to make it easier for the LEA/AVC to move forward as far as possible.

Firefighters are still pouring water into the LEA plant to put out in time the new fireworks that could be lit.
