The Ministry of Defence has explained that they have responded to the "attack by the Kiev regime on the headquarters of the Russian president in the Novgorod region on 29 December."

The response of the Russian Government has been immediate and has denounced the illegal seizure of the tanker, in violation of the 1982 United Nations Convention on Open Sea Navigation.

Russia has denounced an "armed attack" with "unfounded excuses," Spain has called for "de-escalation and moderation," and the Argentine president has celebrated the attack.

Zelenski has denied the attack and warned on his social media that Putin's goal is "to be an excuse to continue his attacks on Ukraine."

Moscow has launched heavy attacks on the Ukrainian capital and the northeastern and southern regions, resulting in at least one death and 19 injuries.

Initially, the Russian Instruction Committee has attributed the attack to Ukrainian intelligence.

European sources have explained that once the peace agreement has been reached, "serious" work is under way to define measures to ensure Ukraine's future security.

Ukraine's president will be in London on Monday to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and then plan to travel to Brussels to meet with Europe's main allies. One of the main points of disagreement between Ukrainians and Russians is the handing over of the territory under Kiev's control Donbas to the Kremlin.

Hungary and Slovakia have announced that they will bring the plan before the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The Russian President has denounced that European countries, especially France, Germany and the United Kingdom, have included in their peace plan demands that are 'unacceptable' to Moscow. In his words, they want 'the whole peace process to be blocked'. 

The two leaders have held a videoconference meeting with US negotiator Steve Witkoff, after which they have held talks with several European leaders to "coordinate" towards the end of the war and to link "long-term security guarantees."

The journalist was arrested on the border between Ukraine and Poland in February 2022, a few days after Russia invaded Ukraine, accused of being a spy of the Russian secret service. 

Ukraine will send a high-level delegation, like the US, and the EU is expected to send national security advisers.

The Ukrainian President has assured us that the diplomatic teams are working on the document received. He has shown willingness to negotiate, but has made it clear that the provisions contained in the document 'may vary greatly'.

Ukraine says it is ready to negotiate, even though the White House and the Kremlin have secretly negotiated the peace plan behind the backs of Ukraine and the EU.

According to several US media outlets, this is a draft of 28 points on issues such as peace in Ukraine, security guarantees and security in Europe.

Like Trump, Putin has fueled the nuclear threat after more than three decades of interruption. Russia last conducted nuclear tests in 1990 and the United States in 1992.
