Ukraine's president will be in London on Monday to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and then plan to travel to Brussels to meet with Europe's main allies. One of the main points of disagreement between Ukrainians and Russians is the handing over of the territory under Kiev's control Donbas to the Kremlin.

The Russian President has denounced that European countries, especially France, Germany and the United Kingdom, have included in their peace plan demands that are 'unacceptable' to Moscow. In his words, they want 'the whole peace process to be blocked'. 

The two leaders have held a videoconference meeting with US negotiator Steve Witkoff, after which they have held talks with several European leaders to "coordinate" towards the end of the war and to link "long-term security guarantees."

According to the French President, these forces will not be front-row and the aim of  is "to prevent any new major attacks" and to involve those 26 countries in "lasting security in Ukraine." In the coming days, it will be determined to what extent and how the US will contribute to security in Kiev.

Sanchez will connect by videoconference to the meeting of the leaders of the "volunteer coalition" to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire agreement with Russia.

In a place and a day yet to be determined, the rendezvous seems increasingly feasible, as both leaders may meet in Geneva or Budapest. In this context, Europe is working to impose new sanctions on Russia.

After this possible bilateral meeting, the US president would also join the talks. Zelenski has offered Trump to buy weapons worth EUR 77 billion in exchange for providing security guarantees for Ukraine. 

The US president, who will call Putin after Monday's meeting, has been optimistic about the possibility of Putin and the presidents of Russia and Ukraine holding a tripartite meeting.

"If all goes well, I think we're going to have a trialogue, and with that I think there's going to be a reasonable chance to end the war," Trump stressed to Zelensky, who said Ukraine is "ready" for a trialogue. "I think we've shown that we're strong people and that we support the idea of the US and President Trump himself to stop the war," he said.
