The unions have explained that it is "difficult" to know the exact monitoring data, since there are many small businesses and workers in this sector and many of them on international travel, but the unions have been satisfied with the mobilisation.
Manuel Gómez, of the UGT union that has called for mobilization together with LAB, CCOO and ELA, has said this and has also highlighted the "hundreds of workers" who have gathered at the morning rally in the City of Transport, .
They recall that the Navarre sector agreement, which affects 5,000 workers , dates back 17 years . They warn that negotiations with the ANET employers are "blocked" and that with this strike day they want to press for meetings to be convened.
"They haven't contacted us, and we don't expect that to happen today either. Let's see if they finally understand that they have to move their positions after the strike this week because that's what the workers are asking for," he said.
Freight transport, logistics and courier are the ones affected. The unions warned that they could affect the big industry, but Gomez admits that companies like Volkswagen had anticipated reserves to avoid shortages.
Gomez has said that the unions are "satisfied" with the response of the workers, but that it is a "dispersed and difficult sector to organize" because small businesses are many, many workers are currently on an international journey.
