The Basque Government has issued an order guaranteeing the "maintenance of essential service" in school canteens in the face of the strike called by the LAB and ELA unions for 10, 11 and 12 March. Minimum services
The order, in order to ensure the "basic and safe functioning" of school canteens, establishes minimum services, which will require 10% of the staff of the kitchenstaff (at least one person per school) and the preparation of "simple, safe, allergic and intolerant" menus for all students who use the dining room.

Inthe case of monitors, in the First Cycle of Early Childhood Education, a monitor must be guaranteed for nine 2-year-olds, and in the case of 3-year-olds, a monitor for 15 children.
In the case of pupils with special educational needs, there must be sufficient monitors to ensure adequate nutrition and care forthem. For other pupils, at least 15 per cent of the total number of monitors at the centre must be provided, which must be organized "in such a way as to give priority to the care and care of younger children".
In addition, in addition to lunchtime, monitors must perform surveillance, care, and assistance tasks from the end of morning classes to the beginning of evening classes, including playground time.
