Thousands of people in Pamplona demand a definitive end to "colonialism and occupation" in Palestine
The convening group Yala Navarra has questioned the "effectiveness and justice" of the current ceasefire and the terms of the recent peace plan between Israel and Hamas under US mediation for "Israeli impunity."
Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Pamplona again to denounce the situation in Gaza and to call for a solution to the "colonialism and occupation" situation in Palestine.
The mobilization, called by Yala Nafarroa, has been led by a banner with the slogan "Stop the impunity of Israel. Stop the genocide. Stop the colonialism. Stop the occupation." From Ur , two people carrying posters with images and names of Palestinian prisoners not released by Israel, including journalists and doctors, demanding their freedom.
Dozens of Palestinian flags have been seen during the march, as well as other placards, some of them carried by firefighters or health personnel.
In Castle Square, the statement was read and several videos of people living in Palestine were seen.
They denounce "impunity in Israel"
Prior to the demonstration, Navarre spokesman Lidon Soriano Yala, in a media appearance, questioned the effectiveness and justice of the current ceasefire and the terms of the peace plan recently established between Israel and Hamas through US mediation, "because of Israel's impunity, because it continues to occupy, because it continues to implement an apartheid system, because it continues this genocide."
"This ceasefire is absolutely necessary for the Palestinians, but it will certainly not bring peace to the long-awaited peace, because peace without justice is impossible," he said.
It has also highlighted the difficulties in the entry of humanitarian aid into the Palestinian territory "due to the objection of both the settlers and the Israeli occupying forces", and has warned that the agreement for the exchange of Palestinian hostages by Israel is not being complied with either.
That is why the main message they are trying to convey is that "Israel's impunity must end," which requires the governments of the rest of the world to "comply with and enforce international law and end the Israeli occupation in Palestine."
