OCS has issued a joint statement in China rejecting "interference in internal affairs"
The countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (OCS) have been in favour of building a "more representative, democratic, and equitable multipolar world," and have highlighted the United Nations "main coordinating role."

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (OCS) on Monday rejected "interference in internal affairs" and also condemned the "shocks to international trade," the organization said after the meeting between Chinese Xi Jinping, Russian Vladimir Putin and Indian Narendra Modi.
A statement signed by the leaders of the Member States in the Chinese city of Tianjin and published in the media of the Chinese states stresses the importance of "not interfering in internal affairs" and criticizes those carried out "on the pretext of protecting human rights", considering that there are "double standards" in the area.
'The Member States are committed to building a world of lasting peace and are calling for a coordinated response to security threats and challenges', the text states, announcing that the Member States will cooperate 'in the fight against separatism, terrorism and extremism'.
It should be recalled that the meeting of the bloc's defence ministers in the Chinese city of Qingdao in June ended without a joint statement because of the disagreements between Pakistan and India over terrorism and the issue of last April's attack on Kashmir administered by India, which killed 26 people, which led India to launch a military offensive against its country.
This Monday's statement "strongly" condemns this attack.
OCS members "will continue to work together to prevent the spread of radical ideologies, religious intolerance, xenophobia, violent nationalism and racial and ethnic discrimination," they have proclaimed.
They mourn the "geopolitical struggle"
The statement states that "the intensification of geopolitical confrontation poses threats and challenges to the security and stability of the world and the OCS".
In this regard, he has said that "the world economy, especially international trade and financial markets, has suffered severe shocks," referring to the trade war unleashed by US President Donald Trump.
The OCS countries advocate "building a multipolar world that is more representative, democratic, and equitable," and highlight the United Nations's "main coordinating role."
The text states that the OCS "opposes the resolution of international and regional conflicts from the perspective of blocs and confrontation".
The statement made no reference to the war in Ukraine.
At this Monday's meeting, Putin thanked countries like India and China for their efforts to achieve peace in that conflict, and cited as one of the causes of the conflict "the West's attempts to bring Ukraine into NATO."
the OCS has no mutual defence clause, unlike NATO, and includes among its members China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which together account for about 40% of the world's population. They are also monitoring countries and dialogue partners such as Egypt, Turkey, Burma or Azerbaijan.
