Euskaltzaindia collects in Bilbao the writings and objects of Gabriel Aresti
On the 50th anniversary of the writer's death, Aresti's first publications in literary journals and iconic objects have been exhibited in the Foral Library of Bizkaia, such as his iconic glasses.
The Academy of the Basque Language has organized an exhibition on Gabriel Aresti on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of the writer and academic.
The exhibition of the Foral Library of Bizkaia contains texts of his poems, including the first works he published in literary journals, as well as manuscripts and translations into Basque by some plays, such as the first chapters of "Don Quixote of La Mancha".
The exhibition also features objects left by Aresti's family, such as his typewriter and his distinctive glasses, which will be visited until November 7.
