Pradales denounces the arrest of members of the Flotilla and calls for respect for human rights and international law
President Imanol Pradales has stated that the arrest of Freedom Fleet activists in international waters "flagrantly violates" international maritime law and has therefore called for "strict respect" for human rights and international law.
On social media, the president has denounced the arrest of members of the flotilla after Israel intercepted ships this morning.
Pradales has stated that the Basque Government is following the situation of the Freedom Fleet "very closely" and has ensured that the detention of activists in international waters "flagrantly violates" international maritime law.
It therefore calls for "strict respect" for human rights and international law and calls for "an end to the genocide in Gaza once and for all".
