Labor conflict

CESM and ASM have accused the Ministry of Health of "dynamizing" the dialogue.

Tomorrow, Monday, the stops will begin, but without mobilization, but on Tuesday and Thursday there will be rallies at 14:15, with shift changes outside the factory.

Today they held a rally in front of the Prince of Viana Advisory Centre. As the doctors of the Health System call for officials, they do not claim their own status as the rest of the state doctors, but like them they demand an improvement in conditions, an end to 24-hour guards, a reduction in the number of weekly hours of work and sufficient rest time, among others. 

According to the unions, more than three million people joined the general strike - which employs 5.1 million people - and which they have described as "one of the most successful strikes ever carried out" in Portugal. Portuga employers say that the strike has failed and only 3% of the workers have stayed at home.

The doctors who took part in today's mobilization have been at the gates of Donostia Hospital for more than half an hour with two placards with the slogan "For a medical and medical status" and several against 24-hour guards.

The stoppages will take place from 15 to 18 December, as workers believe the factory's "labour relations have deteriorated." The three main unions report that management has failed to comply with the decisions taken.

Hundreds of doctors and physicians (pharmacists, biologists...), many dressed in white robes, have demonstrated in Bilbao against the draft Framework Statute Act presented by the Spanish Ministry and in favour of one that reflects its peculiarities, and have asked the Basque Government to defend its demands before Minister Monica García.

Esan has explained that in the first ten months of the year an additional 375,000 hours have been made, "with an expenditure of between 8 and 9 million euros", which demonstrates "a system artificially sustained by permanent reinforcements" and "a model that relentlessly presses the ertzainas."

The departments of Ambulances and Emergencies of the ESK union have concentrated this morning before the Basque Parliament to demand the publicity of health transport because '100% public health transport is necessary for all'.

The self-schools in Navarre are in a serious situation due to the collapse of the driving licence exams. They have indicated that 8,200 people are waiting for the examination. Waiting times have increased dramatically, which has practically paralysed the activity of the self-schools, with the risk of ERTE and closure. That is why they are mobilizing. 

The UGT union, which has seven out of seventeen representatives on the works council, is prepared to accept the proposals of the company and the Commonwealth of the Region of Pamplona, and urges the rest to act responsibly to end the labour dispute.

The Medical Union of the Basque Country shall strike against the draft Framework Statute. In the face of negotiations, a Statute of its own has been promulgated, which alone may reflect the specific characteristics of the profession and defend a specific regulation.

The Bureau aims to improve the working conditions of all workers in the National Health System, health and non-health, "without exception, without privileges and without distortions". They criticize the fact that the Ministry is negotiating the Statute in parallel with medical unions.

The protests will take place from Monday to Thursday. On the one hand, stops have been called from 11:00 to 12:00. On the other hand, rallies will be held at 11:15, depending on the day on one campus or another.

UGT, CCOO, ELA and LAB are calling for the truck drivers to stop from 22:00 this evening until 22:00 on Monday, so that the unions will press for further negotiations on the agreement, which has not been renewed for 17 years.

This has been reported by representatives of the committee during the staff concentration convened by Kutxabank in front of its general offices in Bilbao. The workers have rejected the agreement and the case will be resolved in the courts.

The Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa welcomes the pre-agreement that "improves the working conditions" of the workers of Avanza. The pre-agreement includes a reduction in working hours and a 12.10% increase in wages. 

They denounce the 'passive' attitude of the Basque Government and the Council and announce a press conference for this morning.

The pre-agreement includes, among other things, "15 minutes of compensation." If that meeting has not been held before Monday, without the pre-agreement being voted on, the judge will finally decide.
