Al Baqa cafe in Gaza City by the beach.
Israel has killed at least 33 Palestinians, including journalist Ismail Abu Hatab , in an air strike in western Gaza, health sources have reported.
In particular, Israeli fighters have attacked the Al Baqa cafeteria near the beach of Gaza City and caused this new massacre. Mustafa Abu Omeira, Hisham Aiman Mansur, Hosam Mansur and activist Omar Zeno have been identified among the victims, according to the Palestinian news agency Sanad.
Among the wounded is a well-known Palestinian journalist, Bayan Abu Sultan, who has 250,000 followers on Instagram, and dozens of other civilians. According to witnesses, a drinking water delivery truck was parked next to the building and dozens of people, mostly minors, were in line waiting to fill the boats.
The Government of the Strip has condemned the attack and has called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists and all press freedom organisations in all countries of the world to condemn these "systematic crimes" against Palestinian correspondents in Gaza.
However, it holds Israel, the US, the United Kingdom, Germany and France responsible for their "involvement in the crime of genocide".
With the death of Abu Hatab, 228 journalists have already been killed since Israel launched a military offensive against the Gaza Strip.
Abu Sultan bleeding, but alive
Palestinian journalist Bayan Abu Sultan has today become an image of Israel's attacks on the press in Gaza, as a photograph of him bleeding after surviving the bombing of that resting area on the beach of Gaza City has been broadcast on the networks.
The image shows the young man, who works as an independent journalist and has more than 100,000 followers on the X social network, with his face and shoulders full of blood after surviving the attack.
Many university students were also present at the time of the attack, as they approach to take advantage of the Internet connection, said Mohamed Abu Selmiyeh, director of the Al Shifa hospital.
Two days ago, on the 28th of June, Abu Sultan wrote on the social network X, "When we die, we will not feel like strangers. On the contrary, familiarity will kidnap us when we meet all our relatives who have already departed. How many are there? How many are left here?"
In March last year, the journalist and influencer became the protagonist of the news when he disappeared days after tweeting, "Israeli forces have killed my only brother before my eyes."
Ten days after the publication of that message, following calls from several journalists asking for information about its location, Abu Sultan himself spread the message on the social network X: "I survived," he wrote.
