The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has ensured that it will work to "shorten distances between the parties" in order to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, but the pact has again called foran endto the offensive against the Israeli Strip , the departure of Israeli soldiers from the Strip and the receipt of a request to distribute aid to the population.
"We are holding national consultations to discuss the proposals we have received from our brothers and sisters, with the aim of concluding an agreement that guarantees an end to the attack, the departure of soldiers and urgent assistance to our people," Hamas stressed in a statement.
Moreover, Hamas has assured that it is acting "with great responsibility" to ensure that the "offensive" being carried out by the Israeli Army against the Strip "ends".
Also today, a source from the Palestinian organization in the negotiations in Cairo admitted that there is a "great opportunity" to reach an agreement, but there are still differences.

U.S. President Donald Trump has made these statements after announcingthat Israel has accepted the 60-day ceasefire proposal . American media have added that the proposal on the table proposes the exchange of 10 prisoners and 14 other survivors held by Hamas.
Hamas, for its part, has advocated a ceasefire agreement involving thedefinitive end of the attacks , especially after Israel broke the last truce on 18 March.
For Netanyahu's ultra-right-wing government, the end of the war must lead to the overthrow of Hamas and the dissolution of its military arm, while the Palestinian resistance demands the complete departure of Israeli troops from the territory.
More than 57,000 Palestinians have already been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, but that number may be much higher.
