Hamas has shown its readiness to release ten captives and has again called for the departure of the Israeli army from Gaza
The Palestinian resistance has stressed "the difficulty of negotiations on key issues so far, given Israel's steadfastness."
The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas today reported that it is prepared to release ten captives in order to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as part of indirect negotiations with the Israeli authorities. The Israeli offensive has already killed some 57,700 Palestinians.
"We have shown the necessary flexibility and agreed to the release of ten Israeli prisoners. We continue to negotiate the main issues, in particular humanitarian aid, the cessation of the occupation of the Strip and the existence of real guarantees for a lasting ceasefire," says a statement from thenewspaper Filastin .
Hamas has stated that it continues to make "responsible efforts to ensure the success of the negotiations", to "conclude a comprehensive agreement that will put an end to the attack on the Palestinian people, ensure the free access and security of humanitarian aid and alleviate the growing suffering in the Gaza Strip".
In this regard, he has stressed that they continue to work with mediators "in a positive spirit" to "overcome obstacles" and "ensure the aspirations for freedom, security and a dignified life", despite the "difficult negotiations on the essential issues so far, given Israel's firmness".
Izat al Rishq, Hamaseko goi-karguduna
The only way to release the prisoners is to close a serious deal with the resistance.
Moreover, Hamas has declared that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu 's statements about the captives in the Gaza Strip are "an illusion of psychological failure" and has reiterated that their freedom will only be achieved through a "serious agreement" for a ceasefire and an end to Israeli attacks.
"Netanyahu's statements about the 'release of all hostages and the surrender of Hamas' reflect the illusion, not the reality, of a psychological failure," said Izat al Rishq , a senior Palestinian resistance official, according to Filastin.
"After admitting the failure of enemy leaders to recover prisoners through military operations, it has become clear that the only way to release prisoners is to conclude a serious agreement with the resistance," he said.
Al Rishq's words come hours after Netanyahu again defended his "military pressure" on the Strip following his second meeting with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday. "We will not give up, and that is possible thanks to military pressure from our soldiers, the heroes," the Israeli prime minister insisted.
