The EU welcomes Hungary's' road to Europe '
European leaders have almost unanimously celebrated the political change in Hungary because they see the European Union project strengthened.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, applauded this Sunday that Hungary was once again "heading for Europe" after the legislative elections that gavethe victory to the Hungarian opposition party Tisza, the conservative Tisza Magyar.
"Hungary has chosen Europe. Europe has always chosen Hungary. A country has resumed its journey to Europe. The Union has been strengthened."
Von der Leyen also spoke to Magyar to congratulate him on the results, and European Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho has reported that they both agreed to " close cooperation. "
For his part, the President of theCouncil of Europe, Antonio Costa, has stated that "record participation demonstrates the democratic spirit of the Hungarian people".
He also said that he wants to work 'closely with the new Hungarian leader to make Europe a stronger and more prosperous place'.
ThePresident of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola , also congratulated Magyar, an MEP from the European People's Party, adding that 'Hungary's place is at the heart of Europe'.
Messages of happiness from European leaders
The great leaders of Europe have also celebrated the victory of the Magyars.
Thus, French President Emmanuel Macron congratulated Magyar and spoke to him to support him: "I have just spoken to Peter Magyar to congratulate him on his victory in Hungary!" Macron declared.

Finally, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusksent a message of congratulations to Magyar on what he had achieved in the legislative elections: "Hungary, Poland, Europe, together again!" the Polish leader wrote in X.
Ukrainian PresidentVolodimir Zelenski also highlighted Magyar's "strong victory" and extended his hand to resolve the turbulent relations between the two countries: "Ukraine has always wanted to have good relations with all its European neighbours and we are ready to intensify our cooperation with Hungary."
President Imanol Pradales didn't want to miss the opportunity to congratulate Magyar either.
