The Public Prosecutor's Office has requested provisional detention, reported and without bail, for a crime of sexual assault (rape) with penetration of a child under the age of 16.

The woman's 47-year-old victim's comrades found her body with signs of violence on the same farm where she worked and lived. The woman's daughter informed the Civil Guard last week that the detainee had threatened her mother after announcing her marriage to another person.

The 32-year-old man has been detained by several people until the arrival of the Ertzaintza. After the police station proceedings, the detainee has been released pending trial.

The Basque Government has presented the results of the second part of its study on violence against women throughout their lives, which this time includes the analysis of workplace harassment, sexual harassment, continued harassment and cyberharassment. 

Neighbors helped the victim and held the attacker until Ertzaintza officers arrived.

The judge will decide this Wednesday on the status of the four detainees.

The events took place last Saturday morning in the women's locker room of the local sports facilities. A woman changing her clothes noticed that a man was recording her with a mobile device from the top of the wall to separate the men's and women's locker rooms.

Another 41-year-old man has also been arrested for allegedly helping the alleged murderer remove the victim's body, which appears to have occurred in early October.

The judgement resolves the lawsuit filed in November 2023 by two Pamplonese girls who were raped in December 2016 after nullifying their conscience and will and removing any meaning by supplying them with a substance of chemical dependence  (burundanga); and these violations went unpunished because the courts and tribunals of Navarre filed the case without trial.

The Basque Government's Department of Security stated yesterday that the alleged murderer "has a police record related to gender-based violence".

Citizens and organizations have expressed their support and solidarity with the family of the 53-year-old woman murdered on 15 October. According to the latest data collected by the Ertzaintza, the murder is being investigated as gender-based violence.

The head of the 1st Women's Violence Court in Pamplona/Iruña has decided to initiate jury proceedings in the case against an 85-year-old man accused of murder with the aggravation of alevosy.

The 83-year-old woman has been found dead with stab wounds in her home in Marbella. Her 84-year-old partner has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the murder and is being investigated as an alleged case of male violence.

The Security Adviser of the Basque Government, Bingen Zupiria, has warned of the existence of a "very important social problem", with 10 murders in the Basque Country from January to August, as well as "many assaults of all kinds " against women. He has also stressed that in the Basque Country it has been possible to "verify" that there are "people accustomed to using white weapons and creating many conflicts".

It criminalizes this type of male violence as an offence against the moral integrity of women, punishable by up to three years' imprisonment.

The detainee is a 21-year-old man accused of killing his wife with a knife this morning.
