Iran has announced through Arab countries its intention to end its conflict with Israelafter four days of attacks and to return to the negotiating table on its nuclear program, according to The Wall Street Journal, which quotes US media as "European and Eastern sources."
The ultimate recipient of this message, with a negotiating will, is Israel and the United States.
But there is one important condition that Tehran has put on the table: that Washington does not actively join the Israeli attacks, even though it assumes that the US provides logistical support to Israel. Indeed, Iranian rhetoric has repeated in recent days that it regards Washington as an "accomplice" to the attacks.
Arab sources have stressed that a reduction in attacks (the worst in recent decades) could encourage Tehran to seek international assistance, as they believe that Israel needs a "diplomatic solution" because it is not clear what its strategy may be in the short term in this wave of attacks.
Although Israel has damaged several nuclear facilities and killed several Iranian scientists responsible for the atomic program, it has failed to substantially affect the Fordo plant, which would require American technology, which it has so far lacked, according to the media.
The ability to extend attacks to Israel and accelerate its nuclear program
Tehran's message is not only to express its willingness to negotiate, but also to warn that Iran has the capacity to deploy attacks on Israel and accelerate its nuclear program if Washington does not see a willingness to return to that negotiating table.
