Iran will suspend IAEA inspections following Israeli and US attacks on its nuclear facilities
The decision comes after Tehran accused the UN agency of "instigating" Israeli and US attacks on its main atomic facilities. The measure, according to experts, is the most important consequence left by Israeli and American attacks.
Iran will henceforth suspend international inspections following the suspension of cooperation with the UN nuclear agency following the bombing of Iranian atomic facilities by Israel and the US.
The spokesman for the Nazif Guardian Council, Hadi Tahan, announced today the entry into force of the law suspending Iran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian signed on Wednesday after being approved by Parliament.
The measure is the direct result of attacks initiated by Israel and subsequently supported by the United States. Without details of the legislation, the Iranian media have reported that the rule will not allow IAEA inspectors to visit nuclear facilities unless "their safetyis guaranteed ".
The decision comes after Tehran accused the UN agency of "instigating" Israeli and US attacks onthe main atomic facilities in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan go.
In addition to these attacks, Israel killed at least 11 nuclear scientists in an attack that began in the early morning of June 13 and lasted until June 24, when US President Donald Trump declared a ceasefire.
Abas Araqchi, Irango Atzerri ministroa
Iran's commitment to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Protection Agreement continues
The IAEA, for the time being, has said it expects "more official information from Iran," and experts say the measure is the most important long-term consequence of the Israeli and US attacks.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said today that his country remains committed to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
"Iran's commitment to the treaty and the protection agreement continues," Araqchi said in response to a message from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the same social network. Berlin has described the suspension of Tehran's cooperation with the IAEA as a "devastating message."
Araqchi has also criticized Germany's "shameful" support for attacks by Israel and the US on its nuclear facilities.
"The Iranians had already been disappointed when Germany supported the Nazi genocide in Gaza and Saddam's support for the war against Iran by facilitating materials for chemical weapons," he has reproached.
