New attacks have left 17 dead in Gaza, six of them children
The bombings continue to besiege the Strip while the hospitals are overflowing, all in the famine declared by the UN.
The Israeli Army has launched new attacks in southern Gaza Citylast night on tents in Asda City (Jan Yunis), killing 17 people , six of whom were children.
In Gaza City, the situation remains unstable and unknown as a result of continued bombings that have killedat least 36 people in the last 24 hours.
The impact on the civilian population is becoming increasingly critical. a large number of families have been forced to take refuge in hospitals and schools equipped as evacuation centres, while they have few medical supplies and urgent needs. Moreover, pressure on basic services threatens to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis , affecting mostly children, the elderly and the sick.
The hospitals in the strip, many of them in the capital, Gaza, are overcrowded, as some centers in the south are occupied by 300%. Although the Israeli Army asked doctors to move south, the Gaza Ministry of Health rejected the measure on the grounds that patients cannot move.
Famine
It should be recalled that the UN officially declared famine in the Gaza Strip on Friday, warning that more than half a million people are already suffering from extreme famine .
This humanitarian crisis adds to recent attacks, exacerbating the state of the civilian population and the health infrastructure of the enclave.
