Israel wants a "comprehensive agreement" to free the hostages while Hamas awaits a response
The latest proposal approved by Hamas remains unanswered and the US has announced a "big meeting" at the White House.
Israelreiterates its desire to reach a "comprehensive agreement " for the release of the "50 hostages" in Gaza. However, it has not yet responded to the latest proposal adopted by Hamas nine days ago. In this context, Israeli spokesman David Mencer has stressed the importance of the mediators' efforts and ensured that they are considering any measures that meet the objectives of the war.
The negotiation provides for a 60-day ceasefire to reach an agreement, as indicated by the mediators (Qatar, Egypt and the US), according to which Hamas would release 10 hostages and 18 dead survivors in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and other conditions.
It should be remembered that since October 2023, more than 62,800 people have died in Gazaand nearly two million have been displaced. Among the dead are 18,000 children. In addition, theUN has warned that more than half a million Palestinians are hungry because of the Israeli blockade and that homes, schools and hospitals are destroyed in the region.
"Great meeting"

Another US representative, Steve Witkoff, has been optimistic about the possibility of moving toward a solution, even though Trump acknowledged this Tuesdaythat he sees no "decisive end" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the short term.
"There's nothing decisive. It's been going on for a long time," Trump explained about the possibility of reaching agreements.
