Al-Hayya has explained that the agreement to "end the war" will begin with a "permanent" ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli troops, the opening of the Rafah crossing in both directions and the exchange of prisoners.
This exchange includes, together with 250 prisoners serving life sentences in Israel, the release of all 1700 prisoners and all children and women detained in Gaza from 7 October 2023.
