The Supreme Court has granted amnesty to the exconseller of the Generalitat Meritxell Serret
He is the first exconseller of the Generalitat to be granted amnesty, sentenced to one year's disqualification and a fine of 12,000 euros for serious disobedience in the referendum in Catalonia on 1 October 2017.

The Supreme Court has granted amnesty to the exconseller of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Catalonia, Meritxell Serret, who served from January 2016 to October 2017 (until the application of Article 155 by the Spanish Government and its dismissal on October 28, 2017) and is the first exconseller of the Generalitat to apply amnesty for the Catalan process (procés).
He was sentenced to one year's disqualification and a fine of 12,000 euros for serious disobedience for the referendum in Catalonia on 1 October 2017.
