During their appearance at the Faculty of Letters of the UPV of Vitoria-Gasteiz, a group of students have condemned the criminalization suffered by the student movement linked to the appearance of Vox and March 3. These students have held the PNV and various right-wing media responsible for this campaign.

According to the union, there has been "a new attempt at sabotage"  and they are suffering "a campaign of harassment for defending their own position."

On the eve of the anniversary of the 3 March massacre, a group of students have installed smoke boats in four faculties on the Álava campus, which has led to the activation of the protocol and the evacuation of classrooms. The rectorate has said in a statement that it supports the students "right to claim and protest, but will not accept" methods contrary to the security of people, coexistence and the fundamental right to education of the rest of the university community. "

Around 11:30, smoke boats have been fired at five faculties on the Álava campus. The alarm has sounded, the protocol has been activated and the buildings have been evacuated. The action has been carried out by the Socialist Student Organization of the Basque Country to announce an event organized for the 50th anniversary of the 3 March massacre. 

The quality university linked to research, in an international context and with a social commitment, is based on the new University Act being prepared by the Basque Government, the preliminary draft of which is due to reach the Parliament in November.

Congresswoman Amaia Martinez has described Vox's act on the Álava campus as totalitarian because she has decided to close the university.

UPV/EHU Rector Joxerramon Bengoetxea has called for common sense and not provocation. He has assured that he has contacted student organizations and asked them not to follow Vox's game.
