Male violence

The events took place last night in a house in the Sanduzelai neighbourhood, where the local police arrested a man for violating his restraining order against the victim and are investigating whether the two accounts are related. 

He was arrested by the Bilbao Municipal Police on Friday night on charges of assaulting two men with the intention of robbing him. Previously, in the afternoon of the same day, another person had filed a complaint against him for serious injury. Just over a week ago, the Bilbao Guard Court released him. 

Dozens of people have gathered at noon in front of the City Hall behind a banner with the slogan "Santurtzi, no to macho aggression." 

The victim was unwell and the health services were unable to revive him, but the subsequent forensic examination found signs of violent death.

The alleged 30-year-old aggressor was arrested by the Ertzaintza and subsequently released by the judge. The City Council has called a rally for this Friday at 12:00.

The detainee is 33 and, according to his charge, he forcibly drove the woman to the entrance of a parking lot, where he managed to immobilize her and carry out the attack.

The Judge of the Bilbao Court of Instance considers that the two requirements for the Courts of Violence against Women to take over the investigation are met, namely the existence of "acts constituting a crime of homicide" which "occurred against a woman who has had a relationship with the investigator".

The victim, a 38-year-old woman, is still in the ICU, where she was stabbed by her partner in the family home and in the presence of her four children. a woman was taken by helicopter to Cruces Hospital, and one of the victim's daughters, a 15-year-old, was slightly injured by her father.

Under the slogan 'Feminist Self-Defense in the Face of Aggression', a loud demonstration was held this afternoon in Berriz, where hundreds of citizens joined the protest called by the Feminist Movement to strongly denounce yesterday's macho aggression, to which Emakunde has also joined. 

Convened by the Berango City Council and the Women's Association, the 44-year-old Berango woman who appeared dead with signs of violence was remembered this Tuesday.

The 48-year-old man tried to kill his wife in Berriz and the woman was taken by helicopter to Cruces hospital. The detainee is still in the police station awaiting a statement before the judge. On the other hand, summoned by the Berango City Council, a rally will be held this afternoon to denounce the murder of Amaia.

The 45-year-old man was taken to court around 3 p.m. and at 5 p.m. he was still there.

The mayor of Basauri has "strongly" condemned the macho murder in the municipality and regretted that there are still speeches among the population saying that male violence "does not exist" or that they play down the problem, so he believes that work needs to be done from all quarters to be able to address the issue.

In the face of this new macho murder, theFeminist Assembly of Asauri and Coordinator Emakumeok Bat have asked citizens to take tothestreets  and express their condemnation A0, ensuring that social mobilization in the face of "macho terrorism" is a fundamental tool.

The victim, a 44-year-old woman, died after becoming unwell.

Several women who attended the accused teacher students at Elizalde School in Oiartzun have today approached the Provincial Court of Gipuzkoa to show their support for the victims, one of whom has explained that when they were 11-12 years old they had to hear "obscene comments" from the man, and against what he heard at the trial, he has assured them that "the man was the one who approached them and made inappropriate comments."

The Civil Guard is investigating as a crime of vicarious violence the murder of a child who was two or three years old.
