The Israeli prime minister has confirmed that he has ordered a negotiating team to travel to Egypt to "connect technical details" with mediators and Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that his government is "about to achieve a great achievement" and hopes to announce the release of all hostages held by Hamas in the coming days.
"I hope, God willing, that in the next few days, Sucot Day (the Jewish holiday from 7 to 14 October) will announce the return of all the kidnapped, alive and dead, "his cabinet said in a video broadcast on Saturday night.
This is the first appearance since Hamas said on Friday night that it is ready to release theIsraeli hostages. Donald Trump's plan approved by US President da Hamas, which aims to end the Israeli offensive in Gaza, but parts are yet to be negotiated.
According to Netanyahu, Hamas is "isolated" and has had to accept Trump's plan because of "strong military and political pressure" imposed by Israel.
