At least 14 people, including four journalists, were killed on Monday in the Israeli attack on the Nasser hospital in southern Gaza, according to the latest data from this health centre and the Gaza Ministry of Health.
In addition, at least one Civil Defense rescuer, Imad Abdul Hakim al-Shaer, has been killed in the attack, resulting in seven more injuries among health personnel.
The attack took place this morning. The hospital has received at least two attacks, one of which has hit a group of journalists. The deceased are Hossam Al Masri, who worked as an independent for the Reuters news agency; Mohamed Salama, a cameraman for the Al Jazeera network; Mariam Abu Daqqa, who worked as an independent for international news agencies and television; and Moaz Abu Taha, a journalist for the American television station NBC.
According to the latest data from the Gaza Government, Israel has killed at least 244 journalists since the start of the offensive in October 2023.
Reuters further reports that another photographer, Hatem Khaled, has been injured.
"The target of the first attack has been the fourth floor of the Nasser Health Centre and the second, ambulances that have come to rescue the wounded and dead," the Gaza Ministry of Health has reported.
The Israeli Army has indicated that it is investigating the incident.
