Farmers across the state protest in Madrid against the Mercosur agreement
Amid applause from Klaxon and local walkers, some 8,000 farmers and 500 tractors from all over the state have returned to the centre of Madrid. s have protested against the Common Agricultural Policy of the Basque Country and the cuts and losses resulting from the new EU-Mercosur trade agreement. Farmers from the Basque Country have also come; at least 35 farmers from the Ataca group in Álava have taken part in the protest.
