Frantzisko I. aita santuaren heriotza egiaztatzeko erritua 20:00etan izango da gaur, Santa Marta etxean, eta bertan irekiko dute beilatokia.

Diego Ravelli Vatikanoko ekitaldi liturgikoen arduradunak jakinarazi du beilatokia Santa Martan bertan irekiko dutela, aita santuak berak hala eskatuta. Izan ere, aurreko aita santuak Jauregi Apostolikoan bizi ziren, eta bertan irekitzen zen hil-kapera.

Aita santuak sinpletu egin zituen hileta errituak Ordo Exsequiarum Romani Pontificis argitalpenean, eta hil-kapera bere etxean jartzea eskatu zuen, beste neurri batzuen artean.
